I’ve just massively sped up by image and video processing pipeline by using socket.io (to real time report back progress to by front end) and nodejs streams.Everything is running at basically native performance, with much less memory usage and nothing is touching the file system.I just hope my ingress server plays nicely with socket.ioIf you haven’t played with node streams before i cannot recommend it enough.
