Completed Andrew mead's node course. Need help.

I learned node, mongo and express and created a backend for a simple task manager app (Andrew mead course on udemy). I found it really difficult to make the frontend for it as I learned everything on my own in the frontend domain.Can someone post some good tutorials on making a front-end for a rest API. I don't wanna learn react or angular or Vue. Just html, CSS and vanilla JS as I wanna explore backend more right now.Also, I wanna do a intermediate level but extensive project. Can someone direct me to a code along video or written guide with backend in node and frontend in html, CSS and vanilla JS. So I can learn things like preplanning, database design and integrating backend APIs with frontend etc
