I just recently found out in an abrupt halt that Netlify forces HTTPS on all of its connections. I'm using No-IP to handle an API that needs desktop resources, specifically CUDA. The problem is that I just don't know how to set up SSL in NodeJS on a standard desktop. I've only ever done it through whoever is hosting. I went with the service RapidSSL provided by No-IP, which utilizes GeoTrust. Most of the instructions are if I want to set it up on a server OS, which I don't have. I have Windows 10 with IIS 7 capability (not enough time to switch to a server OS). Most tutorials also only show the SSL being passed through the HTTPS module to serve the connection, not even mentioning IIS 7 (but they also use OpenSSL and self-signing). So the first part of the problem is a 2-parter.Do I need IIS or can this be done with just node?2.a. If IIS is needed, do I need to also use HTTPS in node even though SSL is set up in IIS? I assume so, just want to confirm.2.b. If it can be done in node only (please god let it be so), how do I do it with the following:Intermediate CA, SSL, and CSR.Most tutorials assume there is an ssl and a key. I went into MMC to generate the CSR for the SSL, not IIS. I was handed a Webserver SSL key and CA key via email once the CSR provided validation. Where did the key go?
