We want to add a new service to our application, and nodejs would be a perfect match. We have already investigated and narrowed down the possible frameworks to Express and NestJs. Nodejs would be a new in our stack (although JS is not, because we also working on frontend side), thus we want to pick one wisely. We are comming from the java world where basically 1 framework dominates, so we are not really used to this kind of luxury. What I see as the biggest advantage of Express besides it's the most popular, is that it's survived many years in JS ecosystem. On the other hand I really like what NestJs can offer over Express (integration with TypeOrm/Passport, project structuring, DI, etc). But I am afraid of binding ourself to a framework that may be outdated/out of support.I understand the key concept of NodeJs/JS is to learn the language not frameworks, but anyway I am really interested what you guys think about this?
