Posting today to spread the word about a community-led project called webpack-plugin-serve. The folks involved in the project feel that it's superior to webpack-dev-server in every way (naturally, we all love our own babies). It's got feature parity with webpack-dev-server, and adds better stability and a ton more flexibility to let users fully control the underlying server if they wish. And it's a LOT smaller than webpack-dev-server, for those who are package-size-aware. Best of all, it supports proper Hot Module Replacement across multiple compilers - something that other webpack dev servers don't support. And of course it's open source and free as in beer. For a full list of features, and a handy feature comparison grid, check out this section of the readme.
