Future teacher needs advice from former beginners

Hi everyone. As the title says, I'm going to start giving lessons about node soon. This is not my first time teaching, but it will be the first time teaching node specifically. The institute where I'm going to teach is new, the course is new, and I have no frame of reference neither experiences from other teachers or students to take in consideration. Of course, is not just node, but the whole package: programming basics, javascript, node, express, npm, mongodb, git, etc.Despite having the list of subjects established beforehand, I have some flexibility and I would like to make the most of it reinforcing the hardest topics. That's why I'm asking for your help. Having different points of view and knowing the struggles some of you faced will really help me to make their path easier. I learned node years ago being already a seasoned developer so it was relatively straightforward to me, and for that reason is that my perspective is a little biased. These kids have zero background in programming, so they will have to learn all from the ground. These questions are mostly aimed at those who learned node without any previous background, but anyone can contribute anyway. This is not an extensive questionary, if you want to add something go ahead, it's for reference only and by no any means you have to answer all of them, just by answering one you are helping me (and my future students, hopefully) in a really meaningful way. All of them refers to node exclusively. So here there are:1) Which concepts were the hardest to grasp?2) Which concepts were badly explained to you?3) Which concepts you realized later you understood wrong?4) Which mistakes you keep comitting for a while before realizing you were doing it?5) What projects would you have like to do when you were learning?6) What projects do you consider would have increased the value of your portfolio when looking for a job?7) What real world knowledge you wished you have learned before having to deal with it?8) If you had any job interview, what questions were asked to you that you couldn't answer or you couldn't explain well? (if any)9) What's the thing you most enjoyed learning?10) Which good practice(s) did you learn that help you to improve your code?11) Which tip (or article) made you to understand a hard-to-grasp concept? At last, if you have a must-read article that you want to share, it's more than welcome. Thanks a lot!
