Whats your process of developing, testing and dispatching emails?

Hey all,I am curious as to whats your process like on developing emails, do you use any kind of service, any special kind of templating engine? dynamic templates etc. How do you test responsiveness?What about testing that the email is generated correctly? you have anything local or a service again?What about dispatching?
