Node js open source libraries turning into businesses?

I recently realized that a lot of popular node open source libraries are quite business focused or are used by their athors to build a business. Don‘t get me wrong. There‘s nothing wrong with this and making money with what you‘ve build should be everyone’s right. However, a business approach introduces certain threats for the technology for the average dev. E. g. the library turning into an upselling play. I‘m referring to:Hapi: Author turned the library into consulting business that was basically driven by one man onlyMongoDB (not really node, I know): introduced pro and community version & becoming cloud hosting companyPrisma: Just raised 12 mio. $ without being very transparent what kind of company they want to build with this investmentNestJS: similar to Hapi. Mainly driven by one person who turned library into consulting firmI’m not sure if it’s the same in other languages & frameworks but it would be interesting to hear what you guys think of this approach and what it means for devs working with these libraries?
