Hello there Reddit community,I am in need of assistance. We are a development studio that focuses on creating websites and mobile apps for our customers. So far we have been able to satisfy our clientele but we plan on expanding... online payments. On mobile this is quite simple with google and apple but the problem is with websites (or eCommerce sites if you will).I cannot, for the life of me, grasp the concept of online payments. I am aware that you need to use a payment gateway but i have several problems with this. Since we do not use any form of CMS like WordPress of Shopify plugins are out of the question. All our websites and apps are custom made with our preferred stack (the main backend language being Nodejs).Services like paypal exist where we can accept card transactions with the users having a paypal account BUT this only applies to the US and UK (There are more but our country is not supported).Basically this is my knowledge so far...First you need a merchant account (some allow you to do it through there service i believe)Then you need to sign up for some service like shopify(Atlas??) or paypalNow you have a few options:Use an iframe with a form inside for the checkout. (Not preferable since it skews from the website's look and feel)Server to server but now i think you need to be PCI complaintNOTE: we are located in South Africa if that helpsSOooo now my question is. (actually Questions...)Is there somekind of tutorial or resource I can use to explain this topic, since it seems like im too retarded to figure this out or find anything on my own.I know where the PCI compliance site is, but maybe a more to the point one?Is there a Nodejs version i can look at, do they have to be PCI compliant?
