Hey all,I'm posting this here because I'm looking for feedback specifically from back end devs currently working with Node. I am really interested in API design specifically and infrastructure more broadly and have been aggressively pursuing job opportunities but to no avail. My background is a mixture of a non-CS degree, a solid year of full time self-taught JS, and attending a CS-centric bootcamp where I tutored for some time. A lot of my self-taught time was invested in learning under-the-hood JS (event loop, prototypal inheritance, etc), OOP fundamentals, data structures and algorithms (since this is where most self-taught devs fail) - basically Richard Scena's Algorithm Design Manual and twice daily leetcode/hackerrank coding. At this point, I can comfortably answer easy-medium leetcode questions and have built dozens of CRUD apps and a couple developer tools.Ironically, I have no problem landing React/Redux-heavy FE interviews but almost always passed over for back end roles, even though thats ultimately where I want to be. My concern is that if I accept FE roles, I will be locking myself into them. (And almost every time I mention the "b" word in the interview, employers run screaming in the other direction or my resume gets insta-canned.)I'm looking for constructive feedback on my resume and hopefully get some sense of direction of how to improve my skillset or showcase myself better.Feel free to PM.
