I realize this is a vague question, and there’s a lot of info out there. For context I’m a software engineer, very young into my career and looking for skills to add to my toolkit. I’m a level 1 engineer at my company so most of my work is mainly junior level task but I’m looking to learn possibly Linux, docker, scripting(not sure if I need to learn another language for this). I’m full stack, but most of my work is on the back end creating rest apis and such.So my question is is it in my best interest to pickup Linux? How will it help me in my day to day? And how much should I learn to be able to complete a majority of the things you would need to as a backend engineer.
