Where and how to hire Node.js freelancers/agency

I'm a dev without about 2 years of experience working with a company that is about to start on a project beyond my skillset, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to find and hire some experienced Node.js backend developers. Is there a discord or slack channel, Meetup (I'm in NYC) or something else I could use?​Additionally, any advice on interviewing/hiring?
