SocketIo vs RabbitMQ for Multiplayer game

I'm building a multiplayer game that will require different instances for players to connect to. I think either SocketIo or RabbitMQ can fit my needs but I'm wondering if I'll get more productivity out of RabbitMQ than building my own broker service. If anyone has experience in either with any gotchas that come with RabbitMQ that would be great.​Appreciate any insight or advice. Thanks!
