What odd applications are you using node for?

Not too long ago I created a node app to manage a gate opener for a client.You see they got tired of having to replace gate keys and buy batteries, so a usb relay switch was purchased, the npm serialport package was downloaded , yadda yadda yadda, then success. We now have an app on localhost that anyone with access can use to open and close the gate to their property.What other odd applications have you done with node?
