I'm reading a book called "How to Write Great Code" by Randall Hyde. Do the concepts in this book apply to Full Stack Development?

I'm currently in chapter 2 and I'm starting to get skeptical about it being applicable to Full Stack Development. It looks like it's mostly used for compiler-based languages.Should I keep on thinking this will be useful for me or should I just forget the idea of being able to apply this for Node (and just keep on reading hoping it will eventually click for me)?
