I have some questions prior to starting with NodeJS

Hi, I am a full stack developer, for back end I have been using PHP Laravel and Ruby on Rails. And for the front part I have used Angular 2+ now 6.I have decided to start with Node, and I really love Typescript contrary to pure JS which I really dislike. I wanted to know from your experience, if developing with Node using Typescript will be a lot harder compared to doing it in JS. I mean, are there Typescript packages and solutions for Node comparable to the ones with Javascript. From your experience, which were the hardest parts choosing TS over JS for Node?Thanks in advance

My Node.js Application "randomly" freeze for about a second and then continues to run normally.

My Node.js web application use socket.io. My CPU is normal, under 90%. Memory is about 10% (1.5 GB). I have no idea why my application is "freezing".Program "appear" to stop running for about a second periodically and then resumes as if the freeze didn't happen. The application didn't slow down or have any other abnormal behaviours.Anyone knows what's wrong with my application and how to fix it? Thanks!

(hear me out) Best Practices for running code saved via form?

In summary I'm writing a webapp to run on my personal LAN that will only accept connections from my laptop's IP (so no code injection risks unless I'm already hacked).The app, among other things, has a TEXTAREA for me to input Javascript snippets that will be set to run at user-defined intervals. (Right now I run a lot of little JS things that contain the same boilerplate and I'd rather just consolidate a lot of it and make it easier to create new snippets that run at intervals.)I'm wondering which of the following would be the preferred method (or is there another?) to invoke this code. Suppose the code is retrieved from the DB and stored in myCode.const result = eval(myCode);const p = child_process.spawn(`node <(echo "${myCode}")`);With #2 then I'd use the events to get the result (p.stdout.on I think).I could additionally swap out eval for one of the libraries like safe-eval to only allow whitelisted functions if I really needed to worry about code injection.I'm leaning toward #2. It seems more "node-ic." It's effectively just running the code as if it were stored in code.js and calling node code.js.Thoughts? Is there another way I'm not thinking about? Thanks.

What is the best way to start multiple almost identical node apps at once.

I do have a node app, all of its code is located in one file. I want to start multiple instances of this app where only some parameters are different. What’s the best way to start them at once without having to copy and paste the file multiple times and change the parameters for every one?
